Project Description

If you didn't know the post of Lord-Lieutenant of a county or major city is an honorary appointment made by the Monarch, whose origin dates back to King Henry VIII. A Lord-Lieutenant’s responsibilities are wide ranging, and to assist him in these he may appoint a Vice Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants, who come from all areas around North Yorkshire and Teesside. We at Button Web Design had the pleasure of providing the Greater London Lord Lieutenancy with their website a few years ago and when the North Yorkshire Lord Lieutenancy website needed to be replaced they trusted Button Web Design of Cornwall with their project. Much like the Greater London Lieutenancy website, the North Yorkshire equivalent has full content mangement functionality, responsive layout in order that the web pages and content appears in a perfect format when viewed on all screen sizes from mobile phones up to TV size. In addition, the website has an extranet area for Deputy Lieutenants and Clerks. A full suite of bespoke, Wordpress training videos were created for the website administration team in order that they can have access to guidance 24/7.
